USGBC - Green Building Information Gateway
The U.S. Green Building Council's Green Building Information Gateway mobile app lets people explore LEED certified green buildings in their area. The iOS app, which works on both the iPhone and iPad, presents details about green buildings including their locations, LEED certification levels, certification points achieved, square footage and green materials.

GBIG uses Google maps to locate buildings and allows people to drill into details in street view if they're walking around a city. We designed custom "oak leaf" map pins, derived from the USGBC brand, that show off the LEED certification level for each building.
The app highlights a selected number of case studies for each city that includes pictures of the building and detailed facts pulled from the U.S Department of Energy's green building database.
We also designed a visual language for USGBC's app icons so that GBIG can evolve into multiple versions and still look like a unified app.
